Bant

Bant is one of ten smaller green villages within the municipality of Noordoostpolder and has just over 1,500 inhabitants. The construction of this village was started in 1951. The name Bant is derived from the estate of Bantega or Bant. Bant is also a great place for recreation, because it is only 3 km (1.8 miles) away from the Kuinderbos woodlands, at the edge of which is a great holiday park called ‘Eigen Wijze’.
The  central landmark of Bant is the Bantsiliek church, in which the weekly service is held, as well as  cultural activities such as cabaret, dinner theatre and music performances, from classical to rock. The building is also an official location for weddings for the municipality of Noordoostpolder. Young people enjoy the Twenty-7 disco bar.
